Colin France FCIOB

Colin has over 40 years experience in the construction industry. In 1966 he graduated as an Incorporated Quantity Surveyor and became a Licentiate of the Institute, elected as a Chartered Builder then Fellow of CIOB in the 1990s. He is also a Chartered Surveyor.  

Colin now continues as senior partner of the Chartered Building Consultancy which bears his name, being also a practising arbitrator, adjudicator and mediator.

For the CIOB, Colin was a member of the inaugural FAS board and is a member of the Professional Conduct Committee, is an adjudicator for CMYA and a Past Chairman respectively of the Leeds and West Yorkshire Centre and the Yorkshire Branch.

Colin is the Vice-Chairman of the Board and a Trustee of Concourse [Leeds Architecture Centre], Chairman of the Board and a Trustee of City of Leeds YMCA, and the Property Secretary and a Trustee of the Methodist Church in Otley and Aireborough, Leeds.
