Co-Operative Agreement between CIOB/AIPM (Australia)

The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) are both long established institutes focusing on professional project management and management of the construction process. 

The two Institutes value the advantages in working together to promote construction and project management.  This co-operative agreement will be aimed at advancing CIOB and AIPM for the benefit of members of the two organisations.

• The CIOB and the AIPM agree to work together to raise the profile and recognition of professional management in construction and projects for the benefit of the industry, its clients and society at large.
   
• The CIOB and the AIPM agree to recognise each other's corporate membership grades based on an agreed reciprocity framework, although membership will be subject to application to the receiving Institute.
   
• The CIOB and the AIPM agree to promote dual membership as an attractive membership option.
   
• The CIOB and the AIPM agree to exchange information in order to facilitate an understanding of each other's work. 
   
• CIOB Australia and the AIPM will work together to establish an agreed action plan to deliver the objectives listed above. 
   
• CIOB and the AIPM agree that the co-operative Agreement will operate for a period of three years, after which there will be a formal review.
