Professor Li visits CIOB Hong Kong

Professor Li has been on a visit to the Hong Kong branch of the Institute between 30 July and 1 August 2009.

The purpose of Professor Li's visit was to reinforce the CIOB's relationships  between government departments, professional bodies, like the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Hong Kong Construction Association, and the City University of Hong Kong.

The President was also one of  the guests of honour at the CIOB Hong Kong Annual Cocktail Reception 2009/CMYA 2008 Presentation Ceremony on 31 July.

 A delegation from the CIOB Guangdong Centre attended to celebrated with the winners, guests and council members.

Members of the Hong Kong branch met for a seminar the next day, where Professor Li delivered an opening speech. Mr Ye Haowen, Vice President of CIOB Guangdong Centre was also one of the speakers.

This was a valuable opportunity for members of CIOB China and Hong Kong to network and share their experiences. The two branches have made plans to work more closely together in the coming future.
