I commenced my career with George Wimpey and have since progressed through every level of site/project management, having held senior positions on a range of interesting and challenging projects both in the UK and in the Far East.
Notable projects include three Sainsbury’s Superstores, the construction of the runways and taxiways for Hong Kong airport, and the fit-out of the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur. In 1994, I was nominated for, and was a finalist in the Construction Industry ‘Young Achiever of the Year Award’.
I chaired the CIOB’s Professional Conduct Committee for 10 years and I am passionate about the CIOB, the standards that membership represents, and how these are perceived within our industry and by our clients. I currently Chair the CIOB’s Audit and Risk Committee and the Technology Board. I have an MSc in Construction Law and Arbitration and I am also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
