This talk describes how to start assessing cracking in buildings, discusses the likely causes and suggests when to call in professional help.  A number of simple steps can often be taken maybe to reassure or perhaps confirm a growing problem – cracks often exist they are sometimes benign, sometimes grow in the minds eye, but they are generally indicators or symptoms of the buildings condition and they should not be simply ignored!
