Public Relations Executive

We have a new and exciting role and are now looking for a Public Relations Executive who will be responsible for developing and delivering the CIOB public relations function and driving forward a pro-active press office. This is a new and exciting role for us which will focus on external communications, media relationship building and work closely with other team members and the public affairs department.
To give you an idea, some of the things you will get involved with are:
• Drafting and commissioning regular and pro-active media initiatives
• Fostering and building build key media relationships worldwide, managing day-to-day press liaison externally
• Managing a proactive and responsive press function to ensure efficient brand positioning within various media, working closely with key Members and staff in promoting the work of the Institute.
• Supplier management of supporting communication agencies, reviewing services, managing pitch process and agency choice.
• Working with other colleagues with the promotion and distribution of events, partnerships and campaigns together with liaising with TV production agencies, photographers and film crews producing CIOB content and stories
To be successful in this role you will have a broad understanding of media dynamics/requirements with practical experience of running public relations campaigns and knowledge and understanding of media analysis techniques and reporting.
. Your ability to identify issues and stories and running a proactive and responsive press office will be key to your success. You will also be highly organised with the ability to be proactive and take initiative. Relationship and networking skills are essential. You will be a natural communicator and presenter with the ability to cultivate and maintain excellent rapport with the media. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint).
