This group improves the Institute’s recognition in other parts of Europe.
We do this in a number of ways: through our membership of AEEBC (the European Association for Building Surveyors and Construction Experts); through liaison with other professional bodies in Europe; through contributing to consultations on new European legislation and regulations; and through our involvement with pan-European research projects.
A recent achievement of the AEEBC has been the development along with the CIOB of the EurBE designation, launched in 2012. Our members can apply for this designation which allows their professional qualifications to be recognised by similar professional bodies in other European countries.
