With over 16 years’ experience in the construction industry, Matt has primarily focused on delivery of Healthcare and Education projects on the South Coast.
Matt studied Project Management at Brighton University and, during holiday periods, gained valuable site experience working for his father’s property development business. Matt graduated with a BSc Honours degree in 2002 and, after a brief spell with Alfred McAlpine on a retail project in Portsmouth, was accepted into HBG’s (now BAM) graduate recruitment programme, spending time in a variety of disciplines from planning to design management.
Thereafter, Matt progressed through the ranks at BAM, focusing for several years on some complex healthcare projects in Portsmouth and Southampton before being promoted to Project Manager. Matt was subsequently responsible for the delivery of a variety of projects including a new student accommodation development in Basingstoke and more recently a new UTC college in Portsmouth, for which Matt won a Gold medal in the 2018 Construction Manager of the Year Awards. Matt is now currently focused on Healthcare once again working within the NHS Procure 22 framework.
In January 2019 Matt was accepted directly into Fellowship of the CIOB. Matt is dedicated to improving the image of the industry and promoting construction as a great vocation at schools, colleges and community events.
