We first heard about companies becoming Chartered back in 2010, and have always aspired tobe a company to achieve this amazing accolade. Cardinal only became a CBC in July 2020, however this is something that has been over 15 years in the making.

This was a genuine ‘bucket list’ moment for us and one that we will always remember. The standards and values of the CIOB were already engrained within the ethos of the Cardinal team but because of this external acknowledgement, they are now intrinsically linked with colleagues aspiring to deliver more than they are being asked to.

In short, the internal team have had a massive boost both in confidence and productivity by knowing they are part of something greater. The PR centred around the achievement has been great from the CIOB, which has generated extra interest in the company. The CBC title and the promotional materials including the logos, brochures and electronic documents all assist in promoting the professionalism and integrity of the company, the Institute and the Industry as a whole.

So as much of a cliché as it is…..Go for it! The CIOB team were extremely helpful in assisting us through the process from start to finish. We would recommend this to other companies as it has gained us further recognition within the industry whilst heightening the moral within the office.
