As the Employer Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for the development and growth of the CIOB’s Employer Engagement relationships, establishing ours as the scheme of choice within the construction industry. Building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships at Corporate and Key Account level across Chartered Building Companies and Consultancies (CBCs), Training Partnerships and other CIOB value propositions, you will be highly successful in both retaining and securing new business. High levels of customer service are essential as well as the timely delivery of our products and services.

To be successful in this role, you will be self-motivated and tenacious with the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders together. With experience of working with all levels of seniority up to Board level, you will be able to demonstrate excellent consultative sales skills, be able to influence and adept at networking. Working alongside another Employer Engagement Manager, you will be expected to work to key targets within a pre-determined geographical territory. In addition you will have excellent attention to detail along with strong organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure and prioritise a busy workload. You will be able to manage the smooth running of your Accounts whilst at the same time monitoring compliance of CBCs. Taking on line management responsibilities for one team member, you will also be able to demonstrate proven people management skills. Confidence as a public speaker and presenter will also be key as will be excellent verbal and communication skills generally.

On a technical level, you will have competent IT skills with the use of Microsoft Office to preparing reports, presentations and spreadsheets. You may also have experience of using social media in a business context together with CRM databases.

Experience of the construction industry, working within a membership organisation or within a training or learning environment, whilst not essential, would advantageous.
