Tomorrow’s Leaders are shaping the future of the built environment and look to support the construction industry with future challenges.

This is Part 1 of a 3-part series: Leading the way to a technologically advanced future.

Within this 3-part webinar series members of our Tomorrow’s Leaders Community, alongside CIOB senior members and industry experts, will explore and discuss the main issues and challenges the built environment is facing. Our panellists will share their insights and opinions on how both our leaders of today and tomorrow can navigate their way in an ever-changing environment. Key topics of discussion include Technology; Diversity & Inclusion; and Sustainability.

Part 1 in this webinar series will be exploring how we use technology now, the impacts on the future ways of working, and how projects are completed and maintained. We will discuss what future careers will look like for a generation that have always used technology, to meet the ever-changing needs and challenges the built environment faces.

Our global Tomorrow’s Leaders Community is a cross membership community within the CIOB which focusses on building professionalism, developing skills & sharing knowledge at every career stage whilst enhancing the pipeline of high-quality construction talent.

Rachael Keeble MCIOB

CIOB Trustee, Founder & Lead Instructor at BuiltWell, Construction Project Management specialist

Rachael is a project management and wellbeing specialist on a mission to improve the construction industry. She is the Founder of BuiltWell Project Management, a training programme that uses the principles of neuroscience to offer a unique and integrated teaching approach, enabling individuals to lead with authenticity and enhance their productivity, resilience and efficiency. Recognizing the prevalence of overwhelm, stress and burnout in the industry, Rachael is dedicating to equipping people with the tools and strategies necessary to navigate and flourish in these circumstances. 

Rachael is a Trustee of the CIOB, qualified in construction management and the science of wellbeing and brings a wealth of knowledge over her 10 years industry experience. She writes about industry issues in her blog ‘How can we build better’ and mentors young women in the industry.

With over 30 years in industry David is a Chartered Construction Manager by background. He has previously worked with Balfour Beatty, Mace and AECOM.

As CVO he is responsible for driving customer-centricity and creating sustainable value for our clients across their asset lifecycle and portfolios.

David has been involved in delivering innovative projects, digital change strategies and digital asset management strategies across the globe from UK, Hong-Kong, Singapore, Australia and the Baltics.

He was seconded in the UK Cabinet Office in 2011 as Head of BIM Implementation and has been a key contributor to the UK public sector BIM mandate (GCS 2011-2016) he was also Chair of the Scottish BIM Delivery Group through the Scottish Futures Trust delivering the BIM requirements of the Scottish Government.

 

David is Co-Vice Chair of BE-ST (formerly the Construction Scotland Innovation Centre.)

 

A Fellow of the CIOB, ICE, RICS, and CICES he has completed the Virtual Design and Construct at Stanford University, CA. and is an honorary professor at Heriot-Watt University and visiting professor at Middlesex University.

 

He was also co-author of the Dummies Guide to BIM.
