Professional Review Advisor
Do you want to work for a global professional membership organisation where you will be able to see the tangible impact of your work on the world we all live in? If so, we could be the organisation for you. We are the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), and we are at the heart of a management career in construction.
We are the world's largest and most influential professional body for construction management and leadership, and our members work worldwide in the development, conservation and improvement of the built environment. Perhaps most importantly, we are tasked with promoting good practice within our industry to improve quality of life for every one of us.
About the Role
We’re now looking for a Professional Review Advisor to co-ordinate an end-to-end professional review process, ensuring that an excellent level of customer service, support and guidance is provided at all times to our Members, Assessors and Verifiers.
Acting as a key point of contact for professional review queries, you will provide support and advice where necessary on the criteria for professional review and individual members’ readiness to commence the process. Liaising with regional and international colleagues to ensure consistent advice is provided, you will follow up enquiries and expressions of interest to encourage professional review applications and attend events and workshops to promote CIOB membership.
You will also act as a designated point of contact for assigned applicants; overseeing their application from beginning to end and ensuring a consistent, high quality experience is delivered throughout. You will review applications against set criteria and advise potential members of any necessary changes to be made to their submission.
What we’re looking for…
So, if you are confident, well-mannered and have the ability to deal with members and potential members at varying levels of seniority in person, in writing and over the phone, then we want to hear from you!
You will be an organised individual who has the ability to work to targets and deadlines in what can sometimes be a pressurised environment. You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to analyse written reports and applications. We’d also like you to have strong administration skills, be IT literate to include Microsoft Word and Excel and have some experience of working with a CRM. Previous experience of working in a membership environment would be of distinct advantage, however this is not essential.
What you might be asking is – why work for us?
We can offer you a really friendly, flexible and welcoming working environment. We’ll show you that we’re committed to your personal wellbeing and to your development within your role, and we’ll make sure that you’re constantly learning throughout your time with us. We even hold a Silver Investors in People Award – which we really hope will show you our commitment to this.
No two days will be the same in this exciting position, so if you thrive in an ever changing environment and love to get your teeth into a real challenge then this could be the role for you!
How to apply?
To apply for this role please submit a full CV and covering letter, including your present salary level, by email to firstname.lastname@example.org quoting the job title in the subject line. An automated response will be provided to acknowledge the application and further contact made only if your application is shortlisted.
Please note that we may consider applications as they are submitted and therefore applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment that may be caused by the vacancy closing sooner than advertised.
