Graduate Conversion Certificate
You can take the Graduate Conversion Certificate at approved centres who deliver the Level 4 Certificate and Diploma in Construction Site Management. For further information on enrolment, course fees and timetables please call your local approved centre. If there are no centres locally to you then we do have approved training companies who offer distance/e-learning provision and weekend delivery.
This qualification provides a route to Chartered Membership if you already hold a degree in a subject unconnected with construction. On completion of this qualification with three years managerial experience, you will be eligible for the Professional Review to apply for Chartered Membership.
Learners undertake 6 units which develop the underpinning knowledge and skills required of a competent construction manager (from the CIOB Level 4 Certificate/Diploma in Construction Site Management syllabus). The Health and Safety Unit is a mandatory component of the qualification and must be completed, unless the candidate holds an exempted qualification such as the SMSTS. Upon completion of the course graduates receive a CIOB Level 4 Certificate in Construction Site Management. Candidates may then apply for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Construction Site Managers card (black).
To embark on this course the student must be working in a management role within the construction industry and have their degree validated by the CIOB.
If you have less than three years’ managerial experience then the Professional Development Programme may be more suitable for you.
