Construction projects are taking Oman over by storm. Witnessed in the form of infrastructure and real-estate ventures including leisure, retail, residential, highways, oil, gas and other areas, these projects not only build up the infrastructural backbone of the country and contribute to the country's economic development, but are also the major source of local employment. However industry experts predict that rising construction costs as a result of increasing wages and new regulations will see a dip in profit margins.

Organised by Hill International in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Building, a 2 Day Masterclass will take place from 11th-12th November, 2013 at the Grand Hyatt Muscat, under the theme "Delay, Dispute Resolution and Management of Construction Contracts". Essential for those in the construction and engineering sector in Oman and the GCC region, the 2 day course will help attendees understand legal issues, manage and reduce the risks of disputes caused due to delayed competition, cost escalation and improper management of complex projects.

"Recognised as a world-class event, Masterclass is an ISO 9001:2008 quality certified event which will provide attendees with an exclusive opportunity to network with top construction professionals, thus facilitating effective business development options as well as insights into the latest developments in the related fields which will be delivered by a panel of renowned speakers" says Jeff Badman, Country Manager, Hill International.

Discussions ensuing through the course will be particularly beneficial to those seeking solutions related to risk minimisation, dispute avoidance or minimum expense risk management options

"Besides bearing the essential features of a crash course, Masterclass will also bring attendees up-to-date with current trends. The event will also offer crucial tips and quick fixes to current problems being faced by representatives of the construction and engineering industries. To serve as backup and ensure that every attendee leaves the event with a head heavy with relevant information, attendees will also be provided with comprehensive course materials which they may take home with them, including a copy of the CIOB's Guide to Management of Time in Complex Projects" says Mr. Stuart Wilks, Senior Manager, Hill International.

Course fees include full notes, food and refreshment and are available at various rates. Bookings before 31st October 2013 entitles the attendee to R.O 100 discount. CIOB discounts and group discounts are also available on enquiry. Interested attendees may undertake online booking at www.hillintluk.com/masterclass.
