Governance
Because we are governed by a Royal Charter, and registered as a charity in England and Wales, and in Scotland, we have to do things in a certain way. We are managed by a Board of Trustees, informed by various governance committees, who help to ensure that we do things properly.

Our Board of Trustees is legally responsible for the management of the Institute.

Our board of management is made up of seven directors.

The CIOB was granted a Royal Charter in 1980.

Our three operational boards, which report to the Resources Committe

Our four Governance Committees advise the Board of Trustees.
