Established in 1963, Michael Nugent Ltd is one of the leading mechanical and electrical services providers in Northern Ireland. With our expertise ranging from mechanical and electrical services to facilities management, we have a wealth of experience in providing a professional, high-quality service to each of our clients.

Northern Ireland Hospice, Belfast From heating and plumbing supplies – to mains power, lighting, cabling, ventilation and medical gas lines – we’ve designed the most innovative M&E solutions. Our works are in close keeping with the highly modern finish determined for this advanced palliative care facility. With two spacious storeys, the centre boasts 18 en-suite bedrooms, both comfortable and private, but still capable of facilitating vital medical procedures. The hospice also offers quiet rooms, gardens, activity areas, a day hospice, an outpatients department and physiotherapy, occupational therapy and chaplaincy services. As well as caring for the terminally ill, education is also at the forefront of the centre’s purposes. The upper floor provides a library, lecture theatre and study spaces to equip staff with the resources for medical research into life-limiting diseases. Michael Nugent provided full M&E services for this illustrious project, which is the largest project ever undertaken by a charity in NI and is also the first 'Dementia-friendly' hospice anywhere in the UK and Ireland.

Tamburlaine Hotel, Cambridge Located in the heart of the new city quarter of Cambridge, the Tamburlaine Hotel is the first UK venture of Ireland’s O’Callaghan Hotel group. The 155 individually designed rooms feature King Koil beds from Ireland as well incredible views across the city. The interior design incorporates a modern take on local Cambridge as seen in the open plan lobby and surrounding bars, restaurants, library and lounge. Michael Nugent Ltd provided a full Mechanical and Electrical services installation for this exciting new hotel development. We installed all heating, plumbing, ventilation, sanitary ware & public health services in addition to air conditioning, an integrated vacuum system and a full BMS control system. MNL also provided and installed all electrical systems including lighting, fire and security alarm, CCTV systems and all data, power and mechanical wiring.

Eolas Building, NUI Maynooth As the largest building on campus, the ICT Hub was a major development for Maynooth University. The Information & Communications Technology Building contains the Hamilton Institute, Callan Institute, Department for Computer Science and teaching spaces; as well as a Business Incubation Centre for start-up companies. It’s therefore not only an important hub for the university, but the local economy and small enterprises as well. The development was a significant project for Michael Nugent, adding to our already strong and time-served experience in the education sector. We provided all plumbing, heating, ventilation and sanitation, including associated BEMS wiring. This project was awarded the Best Educational Building at the LAMA Awards 2016, and has also been shortlisted for an ACEI Design Excellence Award 2017 in the M&E Large project category.
