This allows our company to be dynamic and reactive to our client’s needs.

We operate from our main offices in Harold Wood, Essex, where our 90 professional, administrative and operative staff are based.  We have built up a strong team through recruitment of staff who have trained with, and held long term positions at, large respected contractors such as Mansell, Balfour Beatty and ISG. This approach has enabled us to grow both depth and breadth of capabilities such that we are able to field a strong team to deliver a wide variety of projects with certainty.

To support our operations in various sectors we are members of over 25 Frameworks that reflect our market activities which include Houses of Parliament, Crown Commercial Services, Procure Partnerships, as well as housing Frameworks for Hyde, Network, Connected and Notting Hill Genesis.

Example of work 1
Croydon Road, Caterham: Thomas Sinden are currently delivering the design and build of 48 apartments alongside a new Lidl supermarket over a new 2.5 storey basement car park on behalf of Clarion Housing Group, the UK’s largest social landlord. The development has a Gross Development Value (GDV) of £17.5m and will deliver new homes for affordable rent comprising a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The housing crisis has been exacerbated by the pandemic and we know how important these affordable new homes will be for the community.

Gainsborough House, Sudbury: Thomas Sinden are extremely honoured to be currently working at Gainsborough House, creating a national centre for Thomas Gainsborough, one of Britain’s foremost artists in the setting of his childhood home at Gainsborough’s House, Sudbury, Suffolk. A new purpose built three-storey art gallery will be built alongside the restoration of the artist’s childhood home. Creating the largest gallery in Suffolk, providing spaces for exhibitions, displays and learning with four new galleries – a showcase Gainsborough gallery, a temporary exhibition gallery for exhibitions of national and international importance, a community gallery and a landscape studio with panoramic views over Sudbury. A new orangery-style café will also be built overlooking the beautiful eighteenth century garden.
