SummaryJoin the Balfour Beatty Project Team for this behind the scenes tour of the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick.
MMUH will be the largest acute hospital in the region, serving a population of over 500,000. During this visit, you will have the opportunity to take a look at the site and hear from the Project Team about the work underway and the challenges they have faced during this complex build.
The hospital is being built on a 16.76-acre brownfield site and will host 675 in-patient beds and 13 operating theatres. The hospital is a catalyst for the regeneration of the surrounding area and will provide maternity, children’s and in-patient adult services. The Winter Garden is not only an inviting place for people to meet and relax, it is also a navigation system – visitors will be able to find their way with the help of signs, volunteers and digital wayfaring.
