Summary

Our experts, Tom Robinson and Douglas Whiteford look at the risks involved in tunnelling projects.

Join us as we delve into the fascinating world of tunnelling and explore the crucial aspect of managing risks inherent in underground construction projects. Tunnels have become vital components of modern infrastructure, serving various purposes from transportation to utilities. However, their construction poses unique challenges and risks that demand meticulous planning and management.

In this webinar, we will examine why tunnelling is essential, the diverse methods employed in underground construction, and most importantly, the risks associated with these ventures. Our experts will shed light on the critical aspects of risk management, with a primary focus on CDM (Construction Design and Management), health and safety risks, and methodological approaches to mitigate these risks effectively.

Don't miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights from industry experts Tom Robinson and Douglas Whiteford and equip yourself with the knowledge to tackle risk management challenges in tunnelling projects. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a newcomer to the field, this webinar promises to offer valuable perspectives and practical strategies.

Agenda

  1. Introduction and consequences of poor risk management
  2. Tunnelling methods and associated risks
  3. Managing risk in pre-construction (via design process)
  4. Managing risk during tunnel construction
