James is a qualified Solicitor |(England and Wales), a Chartered Construction Manager (CIOB), accredited Contracts Manager (ICE) and an accredited Mediator (CMC).

 

James is part of Quigg Golden’s expert contracting team, specialising in both standard form contracts such as NEC, JCT, and also bespoke contracts.  James represents clients in contentious disputes including adjudications, mediations, arbitration, and litigation, both in the UK and internationally.

 

James also advises clients in non-contentious matters, including contract reviews, contract drafting, and assisting with procurement processes.

 

James has a detailed knowledge of construction law and how it should be practically applied in building and engineering projects, coupled with a sound commercial acumen and contractual knowledge gained through specialist practise in the construction industry and his formal legal studies.
