In a marketplace saturated with construction training of varying quality, it can be difficult for learners and employers to identify courses that are of high quality and meet the standards of current legislation.

The Academy Recognised Courses (ARC) scheme has been introduced by CIOB Academy to address this challenge.

ARC is a programme that allows CIOB Academy to evaluate training courses from external companies, ensure their high quality, and have them recognised by the industry. Once a course is submitted for recognition within the scheme, it undergoes a rigorous evaluation process where all course material is carefully tried and tested. If it passes this evaluation, the course becomes an Academy Recognised Course.

Courses which have achieved ARC-status will be awarded a prestigious digital credential, and gain presence on the CIOB Academy website. To ensure learning material remains high-quality, training courses that have achieved ARC-status will continue to be evaluated by both CIOB Academy and industry experts. 

Through ARC, CIOB Academy will build out a network of prestigious learning partnerships and make choosing construction training easy for both the individual modern professional as well as training managers.

Companies with courses that have achieved ARC-status will also have regular meetings with a designated point of contact from CIOB, sharing industry insights and information to continue offering the best possible content for the modern construction professional and further raise the standards of excellence within the industry.
