For many years the CIOB has proudly supported new ideas and developed leadership competencies through its range of scholarships.  Many of which are in partnership with other influential built environment organisations like the Worshipful Company of Constructors and The University College of Estate Management.

As part of my year as CIOB President, I have been advocating for how important quality in construction is – getting things right first time raises productivity, profitability and improves our reputation. It also makes the industry more attractive to work in.

Whether delivering a high-profile project for a prestigious client or a new classroom block for a school, all projects should be delivered to the same underlying quality standards.

So, it is for those reasons that I am delighted the CIOB has set up a specific Construction Innovation and Quality Scholarship. This scholarship gives the successful applicant crucial construction management experience and supports a research project that can uncover new ideas and new learning, all of which goes back into the industry.

No matter where you are in the world you can apply for this scholarship. Equally you could already be employed in the industry and have an idea that needs support to explore. If that sounds like you, then I urge you to apply for these scholarships. Successful applicants can apply for as much as £10,000, or equivalent, to support their project.
