Our strapline is ‘Developing Excellence in Construction’, which is why we chose to be accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) as a Chartered Building Company. Even with more than 40 years’ experience in construction, we wanted to further underline our commitment to delivering the highest standards of quality and professionalism, not only to our clients, but also our employees.

Being able to enter into a Training Partnership with the CIOB has also enabled us to provide a structured approach to our training, as well as availing of the vast resources of the CIOB Academy. We first heard of Chartered Building Companies through a few of our senior employees. As a medium-sized business, we have already seen a marked increase of positive activity through our social media with many messages of congratulations. We have also seen an uptake in our staff to now progress to full Chartered Membership through the various routes available to them. We’ve even already had some people take courses through the CIOB Academy, and there are now plans for more to be integrated into our future training plans.

If you are a company and thinking of joining the scheme, our advice is to fully appreciate the value and the mark of quality that CBC membership brings. Undertake a review of your company’s future development and business plan as well as appraise your staff training needs. You’ll find the CIOB will provide plenty of advice and support to help you achieve Chartership. As we would say, “it’s as much about the journey, not just the destination.”
