Anthony Walker

Anthony has over 35 years’ experience across the built environment as a Chartered Surveyor, Chartered Construction Manager and Fire Surveyor. He has held senior leadership roles across both the public and private sectors, including as a Senior Civil Servant at the Department for Education (DfE) and as a commissioned officer in the British Army. His career includes roles as Chief Officer within Local Government, Chief Executive of a PropTech business, and Director within private practice surveying firms.

At the DfE, he developed and led the Property Data Survey Programme - the largest building condition survey initiative ever undertaken in Europe.

He has extensive experience of PFI/PPP assets, with particular expertise in asset data capture, fire safety and building condition. Anthony has a strong interest in innovation, particularly the practical application of data and technology to improve surveying outcomes and drive efficiency across the construction and property sectors. He also serves as a judge for the Partnerships Awards.
