Summary
Session 2 of the Delivering Passivhaus 2026: explores delivery of modern construction with two case studies and their digital workflows.
The second webinar in a three-part series from the Passivhaus Trust (PHT) and Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), examining how Passivhaus fits into mainstream delivery.
This session explores two contrasting Passivhaus case studies and the digital workflows that supported their delivery, highlighting the opportunities and challenges of different modern methods of construction.
Using both completed and in-construction projects, the session will examine how teams navigated design coordination, quality assurance and on-site delivery to achieve high-performance outcomes.
This webinar will include:
- Digital-first delivery lessons
- Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) in Passivhaus delivery
- Challenges and benefits of: Light Gauge Steel Frame (LGSF) at Palomar Court | Timber Frame at Glynn Coch
- Coordination, quality assurance and risk mitigation
- What went wrong, what went right, and lessons learned from live projects
- Using digital tools to support successful Passivhaus outcomes
Members will gain a practical comparison of two Passivhaus delivery approaches, with real-world insights into digital workflows, modern methods of construction (MMC) decision-making, and construction challenges. Lessons learned that can inform future project delivery.
