Join us for our in-person CPD focusing on 2027 Building Regulations Changes, Fire Safety Updates and Strategic Oversight for Dutyholders.

This CPD will explore the key considerations for duty holders in meeting their obligations. It will begin with an overview of the changes to Parts F and L expected in 2027, using the associated transitional arrangements as a springboard for a broader discussion about selecting and documenting an appropriate compliance strategy.

Our fire engineering team will discuss updates and forthcoming changes to legislation and guidance including the need for evacuation lifts, PEEPs and fire safety precautions for E-bikes and electric vehicles; as well as updates on potential future changes to the fire engineering profession resulting from the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase 2 recommendations.

Finally, the session will consider how the Principal Designer and wider design team can manage and evidence design compliance throughout the RIBA stages and how our advisory role has evolved, including maintaining compliance assurance where the Principal Designer changes during the design process and recent guidance on Gateways 2 and 3, including Approval with Requirements and staged application strategies.
