CIOB responded to the All Party Parliamentary Group for Excellence in the Built Environment in their inquiry into Building 1.5 Million Quality Homes in this Parliament.

This follows from the government’s ambitious housing targets to address the acute housing crisis in the UK, to include building 1.5 million new homes during this parliamentary term.

Our response, which can be downloaded below, covered several areas around the viability of the 1.5 million new homes target, the structural challenges - skills, absorption rates, etc. and wider recommendations to improving access to the profession.

We await the full report from the APPG in their inquiry which is anticipated by the end of 2025.
