FCIOB

Trustee

Career Resume:

25 years’ experience as both a Chartered Construction Manager and Surveyor, with my own consultancy for the past 15 years. I have held several board positions, including RICS Governing Council and Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education, including Chair of their employer panel for Design, Surveying and Planning T-Level. As former Trustee for Lionheart the RICS Benevolent fund, I have extensive knowledge of the challenges facing individuals in the Built Environment. I have also been EDI lead and global and ethical working groups during board roles. I'm currently a Non-Exec Director for a Housing Association and their development subsidiary.

Personal Statement:

I am serving as a Trustee because the CIOB matters; to our profession, to the public, and to the future of Construction and Built Environment. As a Fellow, I’ve seen how CIOB standards, ethics and professionalism raise the bar, and I want to help accelerate that impact globally.

My career spans leading complex projects, shaping skills and policy, and governing organisations through change. I bring board-level experience, a track record of asking the difficult questions, and a practical focus on delivery, value and accountability. I’m also committed to widening participation in our industry, not just by talking about ED&I, but by embedding it into decisions, culture and performance.

As a trustee, I strive to be an active, visible ambassador, speaking with authenticity for members, strengthening professional standards, championing learning and innovation, and helping the CIOB attract and support the next generation of construction leaders.
