I am an educator
What can becoming Chartered do for you?
Joining us will boost your career. Chartered Membership gives you the right to add MCIOB after your name, which is respected by employers and organisations worldwide.
You'll be able to call yourself either a Chartered Construction Manager or Chartered Builder. And by doing so, clients and colleagues will know your dedication to our industry and recognise that your skills meet the highest international standards.
Not only that, but you will gain access to a range of services and benefits that will support you.
We know that many Educators are keen to become Chartered, so we have a pathway designed to help academics in construction research or teaching (at Level 4 or above). Becoming a Chartered Member of the CIOB reinforces your industry connections.
Our Educator Pathway may be for you if you have a Bachelor's Degree, Master's or Doctorate (or equivalent), and over five years' experience researching or teaching a construction-related subject. This pathway offers a 50% discount for educators and you could be Chartered in three months.
