Building further support for degree apprenticeships

Last updated: 21st March 2022

I wrote back in December 2021 that the CIOB has entered the degree apprenticeships market in England. Our offer is unlike anything else out there and includes a route to Chartership that no other provider can make.

Building on that early announcement we can now confirm that the CIOB has been accepted on the register of end-point assessment organisations (EPAO’s) and is officially approved to deliver end-point assessments for the following standards:

•    Level 6 Construction Site Management
•    Level 6 Construction Quantity Surveyor
•    Level 6 Design and Construction Management

It doesn’t stop there. We also recognise that higher level construction apprenticeship standards are the natural pathway to these Level 6 apprenticeships and cannot be overlooked. The CIOB aims to offer a seamless end-point assessment solution for all employers and training providers delivering these apprenticeship journeys, which is why we have also been officially approved to deliver end-point assessments for the Level 4 standards below:

•    Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor
•    Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician

In recent weeks we have entered an end-point assessment partnership with UCEM and is well poised to complete end-point assessments for their first cohort of Level 6 Construction Site Management apprentices.  As part of this partnership, we will also be offering our unique value-added option of becoming MCIOB for all apprentices.  Achieving MCIOB is a simple process of mapping evidence of the on-programme journey towards membership requirements.

Our team of experts are on hand to support the whole process and ensure the end-point assessment and MCIOB experience is stress free for the apprentices.

If you would like to register your interest in the CIOB becoming your partner for end-point assessments, then please log your details with us here. Should you have any other questions do email me at [email protected].
