Diploma in Site Supervisory Studies

• Level 2 S/NVQ, or equivalent, in a construction-related subject
  or
• Two years’ relevant construction experience

The assessment process, set by the Awarding Organisation (CIOB), defines the requirements for learners to demonstrate achievement of learning outcomes. All outcomes must be met to gain credit. 

Continuous assessment includes centre-devised and externally-set assignments, with all briefs needing approval from the CIOB. Completed assessments are marked internally, verified, and subject to external sampling.

Assessment criteria cover three areas:

1. Task achievement: how well the learner answers the task and identifies its important aspects.
2. Technical Content: how well the learner identifies, describes, and evaluates technical aspects.
3. Presentation: how well the learner structures the assignment, uses visual content, and references sources.

Units are not formally graded, and grades won't appear on certificates or transcripts.

Continuing to the CIOB Level 4 Certificate in Construction Site Management will make you eligible for the CSCS Academically Qualified Persons Card (AQP Card).

• Planning Construction Works; 
• Organising and Controlling Construction Works; 
• Supervising Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Environment of Construction Works; 
• Maintaining the Dimensional Accuracy of Construction Works; 
• Working with People on a Construction Site; 
• Supervising Construction Works to Existing Buildings and Structures; 
• Supervising the Construction of New Buildings and Structures.

Develops the learner’s knowledge and skills to supervise work on construction projects safely and efficiently. It provides an important route into a supervisory role for experienced building craft operatives and other experienced site workers in construction. 

The learning outcomes include all the necessary knowledge and skills to assist in supervising a team working on a construction project of any type and size.
