The CIOB and Wilmott Dixon are proud to host this CPD and Tour of the Emergency Care Building at Derriford Hospital.

Willmott Dixon Construction Limited is delivering the £145m Emergency Care Building at University Hospitals Plymouth under the Procure 23 Framework. The UK's first Wave 1 New Hospital Programme scheme to break ground and part of a wider £247m investment in the Trust's estate. Completing in Early 2029, the six-storey facility will nearly double emergency care capacity for one of the South West's busiest EDs and major trauma centres, while embedding local employment, apprenticeships, and sustainability commitments throughout delivery.

Hard Hats and High Vis Vests can be provided if needed, however safety boots, gloves and safety glasses will be needed.


Please note that there is no parking available at the Willmott Dixon site compound.

Derriford Hospital is easily accessible by public transport, and a multi‑storey car park is located less than a five‑minute walk from the site office.
