Summary

The Maidstone Hub invites guests to join us at the Tudor Park Hotel and Country Club, for this annual prestigious black tie dinner.

Please note: this event is for over 18’s only

The Maidstone Annual Dinner is consistently a sold-out occasion, with many companies returning year after year.

The event offers guests the chance to network with leaders from across the South East’s built-environment sector, creating a valuable opportunity for like-minded professionals to connect and entertain clients in a relaxed social setting.

The CIOB Maidstone Hub Committee looks forward to welcoming you and your company to this year’s event.

Speaker

The Maidstone Hub committee are delighted to be welcoming comedian and writer Jo Caulfield as their principal speaker.

Jo Caulfield is a highly accomplished stand-up comedian, writer and broadcaster with numerous appearances in the corporate market stretching over the last 15 years which have earned her multiple industry awards.

Whether you’ve seen her on “Have I Got News For You”. “The John Bishop Show’ or “Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow”, heard her on “Just a Minute” or “Breaking The News”, or caught one of her award-winning Edinburgh Festival shows, the chances are you’re already familiar with Jo’s work.

Described by The Observer as “one of the finest female comedians at work” and by The Scotsman as “quite simply, a damn funny woman” Jo can regularly be seen headlining the UK’s biggest and best comedy clubs. She is also in high demand on the corporate circuit, speaking at and hosting dinners and award ceremonies for many leading companies across the UK and beyond.

In 2018 she won the “SGFringe Stand-Up Comedy Award” and gained critical acclaim for her performance as Helena Brandt in the sell-out Fringe run of the play, Brexit.

In 2022 Jo was voted “The Comedians Comedian of The Year” – an award voted for by her peers and members of the comedy industry.

Behind the scenes Jo is a respected comedy writer, having served as a writer / programme consultant on all five series of Graham Norton’s BAFTA Award winning “So Graham Norton” and as head writer on both Ruby Wax’s “Waiting Game” and Zoe Ball’s “Strictly Dance Fever”. Jo has also written for – among others – Joan Rivers, Ant & Dec and Anne Robinson.

Supported Charity

This year the Maidstone committee are proud to be supporting PAPYRUS, the national charity for the prevention of young suicide.

"Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under 35 in the UK. Over 1,800 young people die by suicide every year.

Every year many thousands more attempt or contemplate suicide, harm themselves or suffer alone, afraid to speak openly about how they are feeling. We draw from the experience of those who have been touched personally by young suicide across the UK and speak on their behalf through our campaigns and in our endeavours to save young lives.

We believe that with appropriate support and education, many young suicides can be prevented."
