About Us

Would it inspire you to see the tangible impact of your work on the world? To work for an organisation that is committed to making a positive difference for people everywhere? If so, we could be the organisation for you. We are the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the world's largest and most influential professional body for construction management and leadership.

About the Role

As part of our newly created Digital, Data and Technology Team, we are looking for a Digital Officer who will be responsible for the updating, maintenance, and development of our websites. Acting as a champion for best practices and ensuring that content is optimised for delivery on our websites, you will be an advocate for great user experience, taking an active role in website design, optimisation, and update.

Working alongside our Digital Services Manager and Digital Executive for reporting, you will regularly work with stakeholders to test and refine content. You will be an excellent digital ‘all-rounder’ enabling digital transformation and leading development to meet the needs of customers and our organisational objectives.

About You

We are looking for a skilled digital professional who has experience working with web technology and creating web content, with a strong focus on User Experience (UX).  Ideally you’ll have strong experience of CMS systems and a keen eye for digital presentation, with a good knowledge of typography, web design and user experience principles.

A high standard of internal and external customer service is essential, as are excellent IT skills, project management and organisational skills.

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Drupal, WordPress, Adobe Suite and Canva would be beneficial.

Why Work For Us?

We can offer you not only the opportunity to make a real difference with the work you do, but the chance to do that in a really friendly, flexible and welcoming working environment, where we’ll show you that we’re committed to your personal wellbeing and to your development within your role.

We’ll offer you a fantastic range of benefits – from access to a great pension scheme through to a variety of health and wellbeing schemes; and we’ll make sure that you’re constantly learning throughout your time with us. We hold a Silver Investors in People Award – which we really hope will show you our commitment to you as an employer.
