Summary

We are delighted to invite you to the inaugural CIOB Asia Pacific Fellows Forum.

The idea for an Asia Pacific Forum is inspired by global Fellows Forum facilitated by past President Sandi Rhys Jones. The Asia Pacific Forum will give Fellows in the region an opportunity to discuss industry topics and form a community at a time of day that encourages attendance, and input from our region on topics of significance to the industry.

The objective of the Asia-Pacific Forum is to:

1. Share knowledge across the region

2. Identify topics for discussion and action

3. Showcase the influence and impact of Fellows

4. Encourage and support more Fellows from under-represented groups

5. Collaborate with and inform the global Fellows Forum, Advisory Panels/Working Groups

6. Produce output that may inform CIOB strategies in the region, research, papers, articles and/or blogs

The topics chosen will be linked to the three key elements of the CIOB corporate plan: skills; sustainability; Quality and Safety, or the overall theme of Modern Professionalism.

This inaugural Forum will be a discussion on Modern Professionalism and standards.

The forum will be chaired by Michaela Cook FCIOB, current Chair of the Christchurch Hub, with administrative support from Steve Corry, Head of International. Director of Education and Standards Ros Thorpe will be invited at the beginning to facilitate discussion on the topic for this session.

We look forward to your attendance and input.
