Bow Business Centre - Building Defects in Modern Buildings Site Visit

Summary

Bow Business Centre, a commercial six storey building which half of the fifth and sixth floors of the building facing Bow Road were damaged from a serious fire which happened to the roof in 2023.

This site visit is aimed at UWL students who want to gain a bit of knowledge on defects in modern buildings.

The site visit will include an induction onto site, a tour of the site showing what’s going on, what has been done far with works/etc.

There will be opportunity for students to ask questions and both Rob and the Site Manager will do the walk around.

Nearest tube station is Bow Road.

UWL First Group (25 max):

10:00am arrival

10:15am Start site visit

11:15am Finish

UWL Second Group (25max):

11:30am arrival

11:45am Start site visit

12:45pm Finish

First group will start at 10am and the other group starting at 11:30am of no more than 25 with students/lecturers in each group, they must all bring their own PPE (Hard hat, high Vis, and safety boots)
