Summary

Exploring Sustainable Transport, Connected Mobility and Cross-Sector Collaboration.

Collaborative Conversations East Midlands: The Future in Motion

Bringing together experts from planning, infrastructure, transport, development and the wider built environment sector, this event will examine how collaboration across disciplines and organisations is essential to delivering successful transport solutions and creating thriving, connected communities.

The session will open with a keynote address from Rachel Fisher, Chief Executive of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), setting the scene for a discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

Attendees will then hear firsthand insights from major projects shaping the region, including the Broadmarsh regeneration programme and the work of the Midlands Metro Alliance, with speakers sharing the successes, challenges and lessons learned from delivering complex projects in an increasingly connected world.

Alongside these project-focused perspectives, Clare Maltby, Head of Transport Strategy, East Midlands CCA will provide a high-level strategic overview of the wider transport and mobility landscape, offering valuable insight into the trends, priorities and opportunities that will influence future decision-making.

The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion exploring how professionals from different disciplines and sectors can work together to deliver sustainable transport solutions and create better outcomes for communities.

The event will conclude with an interactive audience Q&A, providing delegates with the opportunity to put their questions directly to the panel and contribute to the conversation.

These cross-institute events provide a valuable platform for experts to share their experiences, insights and best practices, encouraging further collaboration and innovation within the industry.
