What is Building Information Modelling (BIM)?

BIM is the process of collaboratively creating and managing information digitally across the full life-cycle of a built asset from roads and rail to complex buildings. It is a structured digital description of absolutely every aspect of the built asset and includes 3D models and non graphical information.
