Leadership Insights: Making the Most of the Tomorrow’s Leaders Community

I started my career out of university as a concrete design engineer in the oil and gas industry in Qatar and eventually to specialised in planning and forensic delay analysis on major projects across Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia. During that time, I acquired my MCIOB designation and served on the Doha Hub Committee and chair of CIOB’s Novus for the MENA Region. Now as a Director for Delta Consulting Group based out of Canada, I am working on various major projects in Canada and the United States and served as Chair of the Americas Regional Hub from 2023 - 2025.

Ben Lunn is a Project Manager at SQ Projects, a leading high-end residential construction firm based in Sydney. He holds a Bachelor of Construction Project Management with First Class Honours and has developed extensive experience delivering complex luxury residential projects. In addition to his professional role, Ben serves as the Sydney Hub Representative for Tomorrow's Leaders, where he is committed to supporting the development of emerging professionals within the construction industry. He is passionate about fostering industry engagement, mentoring future leaders, and promoting excellence across the built environment sector.

Dean is an Associate Project Manager at Bailey Partnership, a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy. He became chartered at the age of 26 and has been heavily involved with the CIOB for the 12 years since. Dean was introduced to Novus (now Tomorrow's Leaders) shortly after becoming chartered and now a CIOB Fellow. Dean formed the Novus Cornwall Hub and became European Chair in 2019. Dean was also the Novus representative on the Education Qualification, Skills and Practice Board (EQSP). Dean is now the Chair of the Exeter Hub, he is incredibly passionate about the next generation of construction professionals and helping them progress, in the same way he was supported through CIOB. 

Katie recently graduated with First Class Honours in BSc Building Surveying as a mature student and is a Tomorrow’s Leaders representative for the CIOB Wessex and Channel Islands Hub. She is passionate about encouraging more women and young people to explore the wide range of careers available within construction and the built environment. Katie is also an advocate for lifelong learning and believes it is never too late to retrain, upskill or change direction, viewing continued professional development as an investment in your future career.

Hattie Osborne MCIOB PISEP is a sustainability leader with over eight years' experience helping deliver more sustainable outcomes across the built environment. Having worked in both consultancy and contractor roles, she has built a broad understanding of how sustainability can be successfully integrated throughout the entire project lifecycle. Currently working as Environmental and Sustainability Manager on a major Defence project, Hattie leads a team of sustainability professionals and works closely with project teams to embed environmental and sustainability objectives into major infrastructure delivery. Her experience spans sustainability certifications, whole life carbon assessment, strategy development, and performance reporting. A Chartered Member of CIOB and the current Cornwall and Plymouth Hub CIOB Vice Chair, Hattie is passionate about supporting the next generation of construction professionals and demonstrating the important role they can play in delivering a more sustainable built environment.
