Summary

An NI and RoI Hub Tomorrow’s Leaders initiative held in recognition of World Environment Day.

The traditional relationship between the construction industry and the natural world has often been one of extraction and opposition, with nature sometimes seen as a source of materials or a barrier to development. However, driven by the climate and ecological crisis, shifting regulations, and a deeper understanding of ecological resilience, this relationship is undergoing a profound and necessary transformation.

This webinar explores how the construction industry will be reshaped, as it recognises the need to move away from extractive practices towards a more regenerative model. We will discuss emerging trends and critical innovations that are redefining the relationship between nature and the built environment, from climate resilience and nature-based solutions to biodiversity net gain and nature positive.
