Oasis Academy Daventry Road - Site Visit

Summary

We are building a new academy secondary school on the site of The Park Community Centre.

The new build works include erection of two buildings, one 3-storey teaching block and one sports building consisting of an activity studio, changing rooms and a sports hall. Both buildings will be constructed using a steel frame.

Externally, we will be upgrading the existing sports field areas and hard playing spaces, car parking, cycle parking and hard and soft landscaping areas. The new build will include the construction of three stitched hybrid football pitches in-line with FIFA quality compliance, an artificial cricket square and a 200m athletics track.

The school will accommodate an estimated total of 900 pupils.

Works to the existing environment include ecology works, arboriculture works, asbestos removal, service disconnections, drainage diversions, demolition of existing buildings and ground remediation.

Works outside the site boundary include Section 278 Agreement works to 7 no. sites on surrounding roads.

The site area is approximately 3.9 hectares with the buildings GIFA of 6720, in line with DfE guidance.

Please note this event is for over 18 only and offered to students underatking a constrcution related course.

A maximum of 12 places are available
All attendees must bring their own 5-point PPE: safety boots, hard hat, hi-vis vest, gloves, and safety glasses.
Please note that skirts, shorts, tracksuit bottoms, and hoodies are not permitted on site.
