PDP Candidate Workshop

Summary

Overview

The PDP Candidate workshops are aimed at:

• Graduates, part-time students or placement students who have recently registered onto the PDP. It can also serve as a refresher if required.

Attendance is optional.

There are a variety of training materials available within the platform, Learning Assistant, including guides and tutorial videos on how to navigate Learning Assistant and perform key tasks.

Learning Outcomes of the Workshop

• Know the benefits of the Personal Development Programme
• Gain an understanding of the PDP, its components and process
• Explain what constitutes good evidence and how to effectively complete a Claims to Competence Report
• Demonstrate areas to consider and potential tasks to undertake in order to generate suitable evidence to complete specific units.
• Have knowledge of the various roles involved in the PDP
• Understand the importance of your induction
• Gain a basic understanding of the platform, Learning Assistant, and where to locate key resources to support your portfolio
