    CIOB Board of Trustees' Election Results 2018

    All votes have now been verified and counted. 4,038 voters took part in the election, with 20 spoilt papers confirmed. (19.7% of the electorate). In accordance with the Bye-Laws, the three candidates with the highest votes are deemed elected from the close of the AGM. Christine Gausden, James Tucker and Ian Brant have accepted the positions and will be duly elected to the Board of Trustees’ for tenure of 3 years, commencing at the close of the AGM.

    CIOB, RIBA and RICS collaborate on initiative to improve building quality

    The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Past-President Paul Nash, Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) President Ben Derbyshire, and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) President John Hughes have today (7 March) signed the ‘Building in Quality: Joint Memorandum of Understanding’ (JMU).

    CIOB Extends deadline for call for evidence into construction quality

    Today (30 November 2017) the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) has announced that the deadline for its call for evidence into construction quality has been extended by two weeks to Friday 15 December 2017. The call for evidence, accessible at www.ciob.org/quality, comes from the CIOB’s Construction Quality Commission, set up earlier this year in response to a number of high-profile failings in construction quality both in the UK and internationally.
