The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), in collaboration with Built Offsite, the leading industry publication focused on modular and prefabricated construction, invites you to a national event focused on connecting government, academia and industry to support the practical delivery of modern methods of construction (MMC) in Australia.

About the Event

Constructive Change with Modern Methods is a dedicated platform for government, academia and industry stakeholders to engage in open, practical dialogue around MMC implementation. It brings together policymakers, builders, consultants, manufacturers, and academics to examine how prefabrication, modular systems, and integrated supply chains can increase productivity, meet sustainability goals, and shape new delivery models.

Through structured presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, the event focuses on strengthening collaboration between public and private sectors to advance MMC capability across the built environment.

Program Highlights

• Welcome Address: Martin Fenn, PT Blink & CIOB MMC Oceania Lead
• Government Keynote: The Hon. Sam O’Connor MP, Minister for Housing and Public Works and Minister for Youth. With contributions from Leah Lang (Queensland Government State Architect), a representative from Master Builders Queensland, and other public/private sector voices on policy, regulation, and uptake of MMC.
• Panel Discussion: Perspectives on opportunity, delivery, skills gap and industry capability across MMC sectors.
• Networking Session: Light refreshments and informal discussions to close the evening

Bond University, Spring Hill Campus – Main Events Room (Level 2, 433 Boundary Street, Spring Hill). Parking is available via Wilson Parking – $11/day
