Summary
F2F |Explore IPD and Collaborative Project Delivery for the Middle East, focusing on frameworks, governance, and better project outcomes. Please note: this event is for over 18’s only.
This face-to-face seminar draws on global experiences from complex construction projects, highlighting the growing adoption of alternative delivery models such as Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Collaborative Project Delivery. This session will also examine how these innovative approaches can be effectively introduced and tailored for the Middle East market.
The contents of this CPD session will attempt to look beyond traditional contracts and cover topics such as :
- Success Components: An exploration of the essential elements required for the successful implementation of IPD and Collaborative Project Delivery, including necessary commercial frameworks.
- Governance and Contractual Frameworks: A discussion on governance structures and the contractual frameworks that support collaboration, focusing on pain/gain share mechanisms and early contractor engagement strategies that align stakeholder incentives.
- Embedding Collaboration: We will outline the contractual routes available to instill collaboration from the project's inception, emphasizing principles such as shared risk, mutual trust, and transparent decision-making.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into how these collaborative models can mitigate adversarial behaviours, enhance efficiency, and ultimately lead to improved project outcomes for all stakeholders involved—clients, developers, consultants, and contractors alike. Join us to discover how embracing these methodologies can transform construction practices in the Middle East.
CIOB members gain 3 CIOB CPD points when they reflect on the ethical aspects of their learning from this activity.
