About the Role
Here at the CIOB, we are now looking for a Financial Accountant to support the Financial Controller in planning and co-ordinating monthly, quarterly and annual financial activities to ensure the timely delivery of the audited financial statements to the Audit and Risk Committee each year. With line management responsibility of two members of staff, you will ensure good balance sheet control is kept through monthly reconciliations and investigations, manage the procure to pay process and take responsibility for the administration of VAT, Corporation Tax and Treasury Management. As our Financial Accountant, you will also be responsible for the financial administration of UK and International payroll and pensions and for ensuring systems, procedures and process changes are made as and when necessary to enable changes in reporting requirements.
What we’re looking for…
Are you working towards CIMA, ACCA or an equivalent accountancy qualification? Do you have demonstrable experience in an accounting environment? If so, we want to hear from you!
With excellent time management and communication skills, you will have the ability to prioritise and work under pressure and be competent in the preparation of statutory accounts with NFP being desirable. With good data analysis skills and competence in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, look ups etc.), you will have VAT experience (partial exemption knowledge is desirable) and experience of multi-company or a multi-currency environment.
