About the role

The role of Regional Manager is an important one – it’ll be your job to extend the work and reach of the CIOB across the Midlands and Eastern region through the development of active communities (including Local Hubs), providing local member support with a focus on member retention / engagement and excellent customer service. You’ll develop and manage regional activity including; stakeholder relationships, member progression support, business plans / budgets, an engaging and valuable programme of CPD / events, workshops, management of Member Services & Events Coordinators and working closely with the super region team. You’ll be a conduit for corporate information to the Local Hub committees, ensuring goals and objectives of the Institute are delivered.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has demonstrable experience in a similar role, with excellent customer service skills and experience of building and maintaining excellent customer relationships. A confident presenter, we’d love it if you bring to the role experience of promoting products or services, but regardless you’ll be an excellent all-round communicator with the ability to adjust your communication style to a wide range of audiences and levels of seniority, and have a passion for networking and building and maintaining relationships.

A strong people manager, able to manage, coach and develop a remote team, you’ll be comfortable when it comes to making decisions and have proven experience of managing own workload along with those of others. With good financial management skills to include business planning, budgets and forecasting, you’ll be proficient in MS Office, internal systems and social media and have demonstrable experience of management of data within a CRM system.

Experience of construction and the built environment sector or within a professional body is preferred but certainly not essential.

Candidates will ideally reside within the Midlands / Eastern area as you will be required to travel across the region as part of your role.
