Summary
Symposium unites industry and academia to tackle Scope 3 construction emissions, supply-chain barriers and practical solutions.Building resilient & sustainable supply chains: why Scope 3 is where delivery fails
Across the construction industry, our biggest environmental impact relates to Scope 3 emissions and wider supply chain performance. Scope 3 emissions dominate construction’s footprint, leading to a growing share of cost/risk exposure. Yet they are the hardest to reduce because they sit across a complex supply chain.
This symposium at Loughborugh University brings together industry stakeholders and academic experts to produce smart, innovative, and practical solutions. We will discuss what is blocking progress (measurement, product data/EPDs, contractual levers, capability/skills, traceability, and client requirements, and more), and what can be done now.
