Summary
Join CIOB for this networking event in the heart of Ipswich, looking at the insurance and legal implications of the Building Safety ActThe Building Safety Act 2022 has brought about several large wholesale changes to the regulatory landscape of those working within the built environment and has been described by commentators as being one of the most significant pieces of law to apply to the construction and development sector in a generation.
HCR Hewitsons will give an update on The Act from a legal point of view, give some background and cover the new Building Regulations Duty Holder regime, which came into effect in October 2023.
Miller Insurance will then examine some of the key changes brought in and explore what impact this may have on a firm’s risk profile and how this will be viewed by the financial lines insurance market.
