Summary

Join us for this webinar to be part of a global conversation on how construction can evolve.

Please note: this event is for over 18’s only.

Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) are reshaping how we build – but the journey to scale looks different across regions. In this thought-provoking CIOB webinar, we bring together leading voices from three markets at different stages of MMC maturity: Trudi Sully from Mott MacDonald (UK), Paul Tierney, CEO of MMC Ireland, and Martin Fenn from PT Blink and CIOB MMC Lead – Oceania.

Together, we will explore:

  • How the UK’s early adoption of MMC—and the hard lessons learned along the way—has driven greater resilience, regulatory reform, and innovation across the sector
  • How Ireland is strategically aligning public policy, procurement, and skills to support MMC growth
  • How Australia is carving its own path and building a pipeline of skilled practitioners
  • The common challenges each market faces in achieving meaningful scale—whether through policy, investment, or cultural change
  • How different MMC typologies—volumetric, panelised, hybrid, and kit-of-parts—are being applied based on each region’s market maturity, geopolitical drivers, and climatic conditions

This session is not about comparing winners and losers—it's about learning from each other to advance the global MMC agenda. By sharing both the successes and stumbles, we’ll uncover what it takes to create a sustainable, scalable MMC ecosystem.

Join us to be part of a global conversation on how construction can evolve.
